Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the price?

Our price includes everything needed for the hire including delivery, set up and collection. It also includes any safety equipment relevant such as ground pegs, trip mats etc.

Do I need to provide anything?

There will need to be power supply, a standard household 13A plug socket for each inflatable hired is required and must be within 25m from where you wish the inflatable to go. The area must be clear from any potential items that can cause damage to the equipment.

If hiring outdoors, the area must be free from any sharp objects, loose gravel, dog/cat fouling, trees overhanging, washing lines and plants etc.

If hiring indoors, the area must be suitable in size, including the height and be clear from any overhead obstacles such as ceilings, beams or suspended lighting.

Can you provide staff?

For certain events we can stay and attend the equipment for use, there will be an additional cost per staff member. Please contact us to discuss the event requirements and we can discuss options further.

How long does it take to set up and dismantle?

We require up to 30 minutes to set up and dismantle. Some equipment may require 45-60 minutes; this will be discussed upon booking if needed.

Please ensure access is clear of any items, bins etc before we arrive to ensure efficient set up times. If we are unable to immediately deliver and set up the equipment within the time frame given due to obstacles, we may not be able to set up the equipment.

Please bear in mind set up and collection times if you are hiring for an indoor venue.

Is there a deposit to hire?

Yes, there is a deposit per item for all hires, this is required to secure your booking.  Once received a full confirmation will be sent to the hirer. The deposit will be refunded within 24 hours of collection, providing there is no damage or excessive cleaning.

Please check each item for individual deposit amounts, for over night hires there is an additional £50 required for deposit.

When is your equipment available?

You can hire form us at any time, our inflatables are available seven days a week depending on availability.

Are you insured?

Yes, we hold a £5 million public liability cover, this covers us against accidents caused by equipment failing or incorrect installation. This does NOT cover the hirer for accidents due to misuse or abuse of the equipment.

The Company will not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of the hired equipment.

Details can be provided upon request.

Are the inflatables noisy?

Our inflatables require constant airflow from an inflator blower which does give some noise, but we have up to date equipment to keep noise to a minimum. If you are hiring for a venue, please check this is allowed before confirming your booking.

If you are hiring outdoors and require a generator, please bear in mind this will be more noisy due to the sound of a petrol generator.

We have no power at the event, can you provide a generator?

Yes, we can provide a generator if needed, please make sure this is discussed when you contact to discuss a potential booking that you have no power. There will be an extra charge for this depending how long the equipment will be running for – please contact to discuss further.

If we arrive to deliver and learn there is no power, we will be unable to set up equipment and the full payment will still be due.

Are the inflatables clean and tidy?

Yes of course, we maintain our inflatables to a high standard. We do ask if they get dirty during your hire please clean to the best of your ability, inflatables should be returned in the same condition as they were received.

It must be clean, unsoiled and undamaged. If badly soiled or damaged the hirer will be required to pay additional fees to cover cleaning costs and/or loss of earnings as a result of being out of use. Please note, cleaning charges start from £50.

How much space do I need?

The space needed depends on the item being booked, please check individual product descriptions to see the dimensions. We require a minimum of 2ft on either side of the inflatable to ensure it is anchored securely and behind the inflatable we need a minimum of 3ft for the blower to be safely used.

If you hire any equipment that requires safety mats, please ensure your have an additional 4ft at the front of equipment for the mats.

What happens if it rains?

Our equipment will still be delivered as normal if it’s a standard English day such as cloudy with a chance of rain, we will not be able to offer discount if it rains during your hire. If there is light rain; our electrical fittings have a cover so please leave the inflatable running as it will dry better once it stops. If it becomes heavy rain, thunder and lightning or high winds, please switch off immediately. It is advised that the hirer wipes dry equipment before further use.

Please keep an eye on the weather, if the weather forecast becomes severe weather or there are weather warnings such as high winds in place please contact us and we can discuss concerns and see if it is safe to go ahead. In certain circumstances we will happily rearrange your date of hire with no charges but we cannot offer a full discount as we cannot control the weather.

Please note, we reserve the right to cancel on the day with no charge to the customer in extreme weather conditions that could make the inflatable unsafe for use.

How do I book and pay?

Please contact us via the form on the ‘Contact Us’ page, on any of our social media pages, or by emailing us at info@inflatafunevents.co.uk and include as much information as possible – what you want to hire, dates and times etc, any questions you may have.

You can also call us between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm to discuss a booking but please note we may be out delivering/collecting equipment and initially miss your call, please leave a voicemail and we will call you back to you as soon as we can!

After discussing your needs, you will be sent an email to confirm hire details, receive bank details for the deposit and to confirm you have read our Rental Agreement.

You will be required to pay a deposit via bank transfer to secure your booking with the remaining balance to be paid either by cash upon delivery or via bank transfer. Please note, bank transfers must be done 48 hours prior to the hire start. No equipment will be left with the hirer without full payment being received.

We are unable to accept cheques upon delivery, sorry for any inconvenience caused by this.

I have no outdoor access to the garden, can I still hire?

Residential doors and hallways are usually too narrow to safely get the equipment through without causing damage. Inflatables will need to be delivered through a side entrance or rear access and this must be free from clutter.

If you have no access at all apart from going through the house, please call us to discuss if the item you are looking to hire could potentially be transported through the house – this is not recommended.

Although please be aware inflatables very heavy and are transported on a sack truck which may dirty your property, we do not accept any liability for any damage to your property if you require equipment to be bought through your property.

What is the latest you can collect?

For outdoor hires we must collect before sunset for safety purposes. Collection times will be discussed upon booking, please let us know your event requirements and we can work arrangements to suit both you and the company.

Can I keep the inflatable over night?

Yes, we offer an overnight rental if your event is likely to finish late. This is only possible if it is a secure location and you as the hirer accept full responsibility for any damage or loss to the equipment until collection as per the Rental Agreement.

We ask for an additional £50 deposit for overnight hires. This will be refunded within 24 hours of collection, providing there is no damage or excessive cleaning.

Overnight hires will need to be collected early, unless arranged otherwise. Please make sure this is fully arranged prior to the hire and not only mentioned on delivery.

Can you set up on any surface such as artificial grass?

No, the surface must be suitable to be able to anchor down the inflatable securely for safety purposes. Flat grassed areas are required for outdoor hires. If you are hiring for inside a hall please mention when booking so we can provide sandbags for safety.

Artificial grass is not suitable as anchoring the inflatable down will leave a hole, we do not accept responsibility for repairing this area so therefore do not accept these types of bookings.

We are unable to hire inflatables that are required to be set up on hard surfaces including concrete, tiles, patios or astro turf for Health & Safety reasons.

Please call us to discuss further if you have no grass available.

 Does the equipment need to be monitored?

Yes, all equipment must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times, you are responsible for the safe operation of the inflatable from the time of delivery until collection. Failure to comply with this will be breaching the Rental Agreement.

Can I cancel or amend my booking?

Yes, you can cancel or amend your booking, please let us know ASAP and we will try our best to meet requirements for you.

 To modify your booking please contact us to discuss as soon as possible, this is based on availability. Your deposit can be carried forward to another booking if it is within 6 months of the original hire date

Cancellations must be made at least 30 days before your hire is due to begin to receive a full refund. If cancelling within 30 days you will receive 50% of your deposit back and if less than 7 days the deposit will not be refunded. 

Once you have agreed the hire and paid your deposit to secure the booking, you are agreement to adhere to our Rental Agreement, including our cancellation policy.

If cancellation is due to heavy rain, high winds or weather warnings, there is a free cancellation based on circumstances. Please make sure you contact us to discuss prior, we will also keep an eye on weather and contact if we think necessary. You will be able to rebook with no charges within a 6 month period from your hire date.

In the event of more than one item being booked, the cancellation fees apply to each item.
